East of Eden Farms is a family run, community based, beyond organic provider of naturally grown produce and occasionally, forage based, heritage rabbits.
Our goals are to provide the healthiest and tastiest produce in North Georgia and to help other urban and suburban dwellers to discover the joys and benefits of small space gardening. Our diets, our health, our future is in our hands. Let’s get our hands dirty together.
Hi guys,
Thank you THANK YOU for opting out and giving our community a true source of food. My family and I just moved up from FL. We’re in Acworth closer to Woodstock and get some of our food from another ga farmer (raw milk, pastured eggs & chicken, cheese). We usually get them on thursdays but sometimes can’t make it. Now that I’ve discovered another source (you), I’d like to know what exactly you’re offering in season now as well as the prices. Perhaps you have more demand than supply right now but in case there’s openings, I’d like to support. I have also signed up for the notifications but could you give me a brief overview with the general prices so that I can work it into our budget/menu/agenda?
Many thanks,
~Sonia C.
Do you have any insight or advice for me in regards to starting up a green aquaponics company? I have built several systems, but would enjoy advice from someone in the field of sustainability.
Thank you,

Hi, Jarrod:
Thanks for getting in touch. It sounds like you’re well on the way to a green business just by being involved in aquaponics. I mean, it’s pretty darned green by nature. Sustainability means that something can continue with limited or no inputs. The most obvious things are; limit your dependence on fossil fuels by breeding your own fish, saving some of your own seeds from your veggies, capturing rainwater, using greenhouses to limit the need for grow lights, using solar power whenever you can. Above all, don’t do debt. Grow your business as you can afford it. Salvage wood, barrels, totes, etc or source them cheaply through places like craigslist. Check out, The Urban Farm Guys and Growing Power. Both are maximizing production on tight budgets.
Thanks again for your note. Stay in touch. We’d love to hear how you progress.
Wow, just found your site through the Nigerian Dwarf Goat Association – I also live in Acworth and have agricultural aspirations
We will likely be buying a house/land in Woodstock next year and I am so happy to have have found someone local with Nigerian Dwarf goats (I hope to keep a few of these little dairy goats in the future) Your blog is great and so informative, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your note. We adore our Nigerians. We love all our animals, for that matter
. They are perfect for small spaces and are a great way to get into goats. Good luck with you venture and stay in touch.
